Auto Dirstribution Terminals TCRC transloads customer’s products between various transportation modes: rail to truck, truck to rail, or rail to ship. We can also offer these additional services: Transfer of vehicles Plant release agent Haul-away trucking Drive-away services Storage Staging Mechanical preparation of empty multi-levels Railcar switching Industrial Rail Switching We specialize in the provision of on-site railcar switching services for industrial and manufacturing companies with intra-plant railroad infrastructure. Capable of hours ranging from a couple hours per day up to twenty-four hours per day up to 7 days per week. On-site managers will work jointly with the customer, serving railroad, and switching crew to ensure safe, prompt, and efficient service that exceeds the customer's rail service needs. Customers will immediately see a reduction in their bottom line costs from this service. The customer will gain negotiating leverage with their serving line haul railroad since the serving railroad no longer needs to burden the switching costs into the contracted line haul rate. Intermodal Facility Operations Tri County Rail is capable of providing intermodal terminal services for Class I railroads. Our intermodal operations service offerings consist of: Operation and management of terminal operation Loading and unloading of railcars Checkpoint inspections Light equipment maintenance and repair Railcar Services Railcar inspection, cleaning, repair, and maintenance - by providing these services, we play an active role in reducing or eliminating the number of car rejections at the loading dock thus ensuring railcars are suitable for product loading. Customer value is derived from greater workforce productivity due to lessened dockworker downtime. Track Services Inspection and maintenance - we are capable of providing track inspection services on any type of scheduled basis if the customer owns their own trackage. In addition, we can provide light maintenance activities (greasing, oiling, adjusting, gauging, etc.) at this time. In the future, we plan to offer comprehensive maintenance programs and full track installation services. Transload Facilities Tri County Rail can manage the transfer of bulk products from one mode of transportation to another, primarily Rail or Truck. This includes managing the inventory and may also include temporary storage in a variety of capacities, enabling our customers to establish forward inventory positions, reduce costs, and improve service to the end user. Web-Enabled Visibility and Reporting Our palm-sized handheld units are an industry first for railcar switch reporting. The instant the railcar is repositioned in the yard or at the dock, the switch crew will update the handheld. Within seconds, the wireless network will transfer that information to our servers and update the internet-based rail management tool. Vice-versa, if the dock supervisor needs a different car spotted than originally planned, he just updates the web-based tool and it will auto-update the handheld. This will greatly increase productivity.
